Since the last blog it seems as if the fine weather has continued unabated and if our gardener's comments on lack of rain are anything to go by, June has turned out to be as good a summer month as I can remember.

As we enter into July our arrangements for the Mid-Devon show are well advanced and I was delighted to see the marquee designs from Sam in our sales office this week. I think the changed layout will help our visitors see more of the information and allow a better flow of people through the site on the day.

During the middle of last month, Claire and I attended our village Thorverton's summer show, we part sponsor the event and it's great to be involved in such a local show.

I should also say that Claire and I celebrated our marriage at the beginning of June, we had a wonderful day, blessed with good weather and sharing our day with family and friends was just great. So as I'm sure you'll understand, last month will remain in my memory and I'm lucky to have such a marvellous partner in Claire.We hav'nt yet had an opportunity to go away for a honeymoon but I hope we'll get away for a while next month.

One reason I have been unable to leave the business yet is that at time of writing I'm involved in the Britain's Best Dish Show on ITV 1. T V work is obviously not something I've done before and the whole expierience is very exciting. I can't say much more at the moment I'm afraid but I'll let you know more as soon as I can if it's of interest.

Finally and much more importantly, we were delighted to receive a clean bill of health after our annual visit from the local Environmental Health Officer, he came here to inspect our kitchens and other area's of the property and we took a great deal of pride from his positive comments.
