Rhys Roberts – General Manager - A professional hotelier for almost 20 years and currently a Main Board Director of Best Western Hotels G.B., and South West Tourism, Rhys is committed to the development of the Hotel as a major conference destination in the South West whilst ensuring high standards to all its clients.
Audrey Mugford - Bars Manager - Audrey started with the Hotel some years ago in the Bar and Restaurant areas. She has now progressed and has been promoted to run the Hotel’s Lounge and Banqueting bars and is responsible with her team to provide our guests with an enjoyable experience in the bar area.
Jenny Smallridge – Head Housekeeper - Jenny is one of our longest service members of staff and in the absence of a Head Housekeeper is responsible for the standards in all our 70 bedrooms and 6 conference suites together with the cleanliness of all our public areas. She is very well known to many of our guests and is well liked for her friendly and positive approach.
Joanne Mildren – Front of House Manager - Jo has been connected with the Hotel for many years and is currently responsible for our Reception and Reservation operation within the Hotel. She is very friendly and again well known to many of our regular guests. Jo also deals with the Hotel’s group contracts and manages reservations for our French, German, Italian and Dutch markets.
Sam Beer , Wendy Wright and Tracy Leaman- conference and event co-ordinators- all three girls are highly professional and are here to assist guests in planning their events. Their knowledge and expierience will be vital in assisting our clients run excellent events.
Bill Stark - Conference Services Manager - A quiet and unassuming manager with a terrific attitude , Bill will be on hand to ensure any conference gets close and personal attention.
Alison Bass - PA to the General Manager - Alison is mainly responsible for the administration functions and has the difficult task of keeping Rhys to his strict timetable commitments. Alison is also responsible for the administration of the Best Western regional meetings and is well known and well liked with other Best Western hoteliers for her friendly and efficient manner.
Joan Kidley – Financial Controller - Joan is responsible for the efficient running of the Tiverton Hotel’s finance department. A Tivertonian by birth, Joan has seen the Hotel develop over the past 9 years and her own career path has developed alongside. Joan is well known for her love of strong coffee, taken often.
Nick Mort - Executive Head Chef - Nick joined the Hotel over four years ago from an award winning hotel near Exeter. Previous to this appointment he gained valuable experience with the Roux brothers in London. Nick is an excellent and inspired Chef and this is very much reflected in his a la carte menu, each season he is able to bring the best of local produce to his Restaurant for your enjoyment.
Carol Ahern – Restaurant Manager -Carol is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of our restaurant along with her team of supervisors and staff, who all have a dedicated approach. Customer care and service is an important part of Carol’s training ethos at the Hotel and this is very apparent when our guests complete a questionnaire or write to us telling us how much they enjoyed their experience in our restaurant.
Colin Moore - Maintenance Manager - Colin is responsible for the maintenance of the building and it's many systems. A local man who has specific building skills, Colin is also responsible for the health and safety on site.
Rachael Cumes - Head recepionist - Racheal has recently taken up her role as the hotel's head receptionist , she fully deserves her promotion and runs her team with skill and pride.
