MEET THE TEAM

Rhys Roberts Hotel Director: A professional hotelier for more than 20 years and current Chairman of Visit Devon CIC.  Rhys is committed to the development of the hotel as a major conference venue in the South West while ensuring high standards to all its clients.

Wayne Hartrey - Operations Manager: Wayne utilises his considerable experience and enthusiasm to not only be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the hotel but also run the conference services department with flair and professionalism.

Jo Squire – Head Housekeeper: Jo has a wealth of knowledge and experience of the tourist industry and organises the housekeeping staff to ensure our high standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained.

Joanne Thomas  - Sales Manager:  Joanne heads up the sales operation at the hotel and comes from a successful background in hotel sales. She looks forward to meeting you to discuss corporate rates, events or new business enquiries.

Wendy Wright - Conference Coordinator: Wendy is the hotel's point of contact for our conference and function business.

Sam Keating - Conference Coordinator: Sam works our of the hotel sales office and would be delighted to discuss your booking.

Izabela Alexsandrzak-Gnitecka - Revenue Manager: Izabela is responsible for accommodation sales and is the person who can assist with rate enquiries.

Andrea Woodland- Head Receptionist:  Andrea leads a great team and has an extensive background in customer service and managing front office operations, she looks forward to meeting you.

Joan Kidley - Financial Controller: Joan is responsible for the efficient running of the hotel’s finance department. A Tivertonian by birth, Joan has seen the business develop over the past 15 years and her own career path has developed alongside. Joan is well known for her love of strong coffee, taken often.

Thomas Lugg- Executive Head Chef:- Tom recently joined the hotel from an award-winning hotel in the area.. Tom is an excellent and inspired chef and this is very much reflected in his menus, each able to bring the best of local produce to the restaurant for your enjoyment.

Carol Ahern Gallery Restaurant and Banqueting Manager: Carol is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of our restaurant and bar along with her team of supervisors and staff who all have a dedicated approach. Customer care and service is an important part of her training ethos and this is very apparent in our restaurant.

Jodie Kerslake - Deputy Restaurant and Banqueting Manager:  Jodie has been with the hotel for some time and has trained up from the ground floor, her bright and friendly personality get her lots of comments from our regulars.

Barry Horwood - Maintenance Manager: Barry is responsible for the maintenance of the building and its many systems, he is also the hotel's health and safety officer.
