Mid Devon Show 2010
The weather was kind and both visitors and exhibitors had a wonderful day.
We were delighted to see many old friends and welcome many more new ones. We would like to thank everyone for taking the time and trouble to visit us and share news and views accompanied by scrumptious Devon strawberries and clotted cream and a glass of refreshing Pimms.
There was particular interest in our conference and function facilities and despite the summer sun our new Christmas programme was very well received.
A big thank you once again to all our visitors.
Best Western Board Visit
The hotel was the venue for the most recent meeting of the Board of Directors of Best Western Hotels GB. Despite the packed business schedule there was an opportunity to relax over a convivial meal in the Gallery restaurant and an evening visit to Exeter with a chance to see a little of our beautiful Devon countryside. The visit was both productive and enjoyable and we hope we have the opportunity of welcoming our Best Western colleagues again in the future.
Hotel Wins Top International Award
The Best Western Tiverton Hotel has received confirmation of winning an International Excellence in Quality award.
The award based on the quality and service provided is given by Best Western International and to date has been achieved by only three other Best Western Hotels in the country.
The award followed a recent visit from an independent Best Western Hotels Inspector, which confirmed a collection score of 986 out of a possible 1000 points in various categories.
Hotel Director Rhys Roberts said, "I was delighted to receive confirmation of this award from Best Western CEO David Clarke, it recognises the progress of the business over the past few years and demonstrates the fantastic commitment of our staff to high standards and great customer care. I look forward to accepting a special plaque from best Western International on their behalf."
The 3 star hotel has been in private ownership since 1997 and been a member of Best Western Hotels for the past ten years and is located in the market town of Tiverton in the heart of Devon.
In that time it's developed extensive facilities including seven conference and banqueting suites and seventy well-appointed bedrooms.
Rhys Roberts added, "Our relationship with Best Western has been excellent, we are a member of the world's largest consortia of independently owned hotels and for me personally as a Board Director of Best Western Hotels GB, this award means a great deal."

New Menu
We are delighted to announce the launch of our new a La Carte menu in the Gallery Restaruant. The new menu features for the first time a seven-course Tasting Menu, an opportunity to experience a variety of delicious dishes finishing with Roasted Coffee and Petit Fours.
Tiverton in Bloom 2010
Following many year's success in the Tiverton in Bloom competition we have again entered the hotel and have high hopes of Ray our gardener - whatever the British summer throws at him!
Stars in our Eyes!!!
We were delighted to welcome Lee Sharp (ex Manchester United) who stayed with us whilst on a visit to Tiverton Town Football Club. Olympic Gold Medallist for Relay Jason Gardener presented at a conference held here and Comedian Jimmy Cricket stayed during his performance in a local variety show.
Our Who's Who of famous guests is growing and we wonder who will be next.......
