Best Western Hotels, the country’s largest hotel consortium with some 350 independently owned hotels all over Britain, have announced that their new Deputy Chairman will be West Country hotelier, Rhys Roberts.
The appointment, recently confirmed by the company’s Board of Directors, will be formally announced to the members at their annual conference in Dublin in January. Rhys will be taking up his new role in June when current Deputy Chairman Russell Imrie succeeds outgoing Chairman Alan Long.
Currently South West Regional Chairman, Rhys has been a Director for the past 3 years and is also co-owner of the Best Western Tiverton Hotel, Devon, will work closely with the Board in reviewing the strategic direction of the company.
The Group based at York with some 130 employees offers marketing and purchasing services to its members and is part of a global organisation with approximately 4,200 hotels world-wide with an international centre based in Phoenix, Arizona.
