Knightshayes Court - A National Trust property and a fine Victorian country house with richly decorated Gothic and Romantic interiors by the eccentric designer William Burges. There are celebrated formal gardens containing rare shrubs and specimen trees, lily pools, floral boarders and amusing topiary. Bicton Botanical Gardens - These wonderful historic Grade One listed gardens have been conferred with the highest conservation status by English Heritage.
