1st October 2002 The Tiverton Hotel announces new Executive Chef The 3 Star Tiverton Hotel today announced the arrival of Executive Chef Nicholas Mort. Nicholas, who will lead a brigade of 6, arrives from the award winning Buckerell Lodge Hotel in Exeter with the aim of repeating his success at the Buckerell Lodge in achieving awards for the food at the Tiverton Hotel. General Manager Rhys Roberts said "Nicholas' appointment is a significant step for our Hotel and I look forward to working with him in the weeks and months ahead. He will be made very welcome here". Previous to his success at the Buckerell Lodge, Nicholas was a Sous Chef on the Queen Elizabeth II and gained valuable experience with the Roux Brothers in London. Nicholas who lives locally with his family adds "I am delighted to be here and look forward to developing the food to even higher standards and I aim to launch a brand new menu early next year". |
